MIG/MAG welding

MIG/MAG welding

During the MIG/MAG welding process, the power supply is connected to the welding gun and the welding wire is transported. An arc is generated between the welding wire and the workpiece, causing the workpiece material to be welded and the welding wire to melt at the same time, forming a weld that connects the workpieces together. During the welding operation , the welding gun continuously feeds wire and provides protective gas for the weld.

MIG/MAG welding has a wide range of applications and is suitable for welding large workpieces that are difficult to move. It is often used in heavy industry, such as shipbuilding, pipelines and steel structures, and is also used in the repair and maintenance of such projects.
