1. Handle: The handle, also called the grip or the welding torch body, is the part held by the welder. It provides a comfortable grip and houses various controls such as trigger, air flow control and wire feed adjustment.

2. Nozzle: The nozzle is an important component located at the tip of the torch. It directs a flow of shielding gas (usually carbon dioxide) to the welding area. This gas protects the molten pool from atmospheric contamination, ensuring high-quality welding.

3. Contact: The contact is the contact point between the welding wire and the workpiece. It conducts electrical current and guides the wire into the welded joint. Contacts are available in different sizes to accommodate different wire diameters.

4. Gas diffuser: The gas diffuser is located behind the contact and helps to evenly distribute the shielding gas around the welding wire. It also helps cool the welding gun by dissipating the heat generated during welding.

5. Electrode Lead: The electrode lead, also known as the cable assembly or power cord, connects the welding torch to the power source. It allows electrical current to pass from the welder to the contact tip, energizing the wire.

6. Gas hose: The gas hose connects the CO2 cylinder to the welding gun. It delivers shielding gas from the cylinder to the nozzle, ensuring a continuous supply during welding operations.

7. Trigger: The trigger located on the handle of the welding torch controls the flow of welding current. When pressed, it energizes the wire and causes an arc.
