welding cable
Welding cables, commonly known as welding torch cables or electric welding cables, are specialized high-current cables used to connect welding machines and welding clamps. They must possess high flexibility, oil resistance, heat resistance, and wear resistance, and are mainly used for secondary side wiring in welding machines. The outer layer is wrapped with a heat-resistant polyester film and a pure natural rubber or special rubber sheath, providing tear resistance, abrasion resistance, weather resistance, and oil solvent resistance.
When selecting welding cables, factors such as cable length, cross-sectional area, and current carrying capacity must be considered. The cable length should be determined based on actual operational requirements; cables that are too long or too short will affect welding results. The cross-sectional area should be selected based on the power and current of the welding equipment to ensure the cable can withstand sufficient current without overheating or damage. Current carrying capacity is one of the most important performance indicators of a cable, determining its stability and safety when transmitting high currents.
